Consultancy Services

 

A consultancy project is performed in two stages:

 

Stage 1:
Models are constructed according to the objectives of the project. The challenges in this stage are data management and technical challanges. (e.g. data gathering, data Q.C. and filter, model construction and calibration, perform calculations and reports).

 

Stage 2:

Training the engineers of the company that hired the service in the use of the models. The challenges of this stage are to be able to transfer the know-how with an effective communication.

 

 

The typical deliverables of consultancy project are:

 

- Report with data and conclusions

- Models

- Training to the engineer in the use of the tools within the context of the created model

 

 


 

 

Fluid characterization

  • Black oil models
  • Compositional models EOS models (Peng Robinson, SRK)
  • Separator train calculations, compositional gradients..
  • Swelling test/Slim tube calculations , hydrate formation/Wax deposition prediction.

Reservoir modeling

  • Reservoir model construction using the material balance approach.
  • History matching to obtain hydrocarbons original in situ, drive mechanisms.
  • Predictions for different scenarios (e.g.  water injection, drilling plan, compression, etc)
  • Oil, gas or condensate systems (black oil or fully compositional models).
  • Multi-tanks models (tanks connected through transmissibility’s)
 

Well modeling

  • Oil, Gas, Condensate wells using black oil correlations or EOS.
  • Naturally flowing or artificially lifted (GL, ESP, PCP, etc).
  • IPR for complex wells such as Horizontal , multilateral , multi-layer, hydraulically fractured.
  • Optimize well production by analyzing different tubing sizes, artificial lift technology.
  • Wide range of sensitivity analysis.
  • Lift curves for simulators (e.g. Eclipse, Cheers, VIP, Imex, Gem, etc)
 

Integrated field model

  • Integrate the reservoir, well and surface facilities in one single model.
  • IPM can be used for Field development plan analysis.
  • Identify bottle necks, evaluate the impact of tie-in new appraisal wells into existing network.
  • Evaluate compression requirements, production forecasting under different scenarios.
  • Optimize the production respecting field constraints (maximum separator capacity, compressor capacity, etc.)
  • Construct a virtual meter for the field.
 

Specialized numerical simulation studies

  • Enhance oil recovery (EOR) studies, Thermal effects studies (Steam injection, cold water injection), Polymer/  gel injection.
  • Thermally induced fractures, hydraulic fractures.
  • Chemical precipitations due to water injection, souring.
 

Linking integrated models to other applications

  • Linking the integrated model to other tools such as Eclipse, Imex, Gem, Cheers,  Hysys, Unisim, Excel.
  • Expanding the integrated concept to the needs of the client.
